Claudio Locatelli moved to France at the age of twenty to study drawing and sculpture, and was accepted at the École Nationale Supérieure de Beaux-arts de Paris in 1994. Initially, he worked from live models with Jean Francois Duffau, the sculptor César’s assistant, in the Perrin Duffau studio. He then joined the studios of Bruno Lebel and Georges Jeanclos, where he sculpted both terracotta and so-called new materials.
Since 2005, Galerie Forni d’Italie has been exhibiting his work at contemporary art fairs in Italy and abroad: Arte Fiera Bologna, Art Amsterdam, London Art Fair, Art Helsinski, Art Brussels, St-Art Strasbourg, Lille Art Fair…
